Our three grown up children had been telling us for some time to replace a family portrait, taken some years ago, so when I was given a ‘Photosforever’ gift voucher by my work colleagues for my 60th birthday it seemed a perfect opportunity to change the outdated portrait to an up to date version.

The biggest challenge was sorting out a date for the photo shoot when all the family and partners could get together. Before the aged date, Laurence called at our home to see where the photo’s would be taken, arrange lighting and talk about the list of photo’s which would be taken. I had an idea of having a montage with a large photo of all the family and smaller photo’s of each couple.

On the day, a glass of Prosecco  each and the laid back manner of Laurence and his wife, as they organised the photo’s, helped even the camera-shy amongst the family, to enjoy the shoot.

Over Christmas all the family were able to look at the gallery of photos online and choose their favourite. Laurence then put the photos into a montage on a cream background and was very patient in resourcing a frame which I would like and which would blend with our decor.

The result: a montage with all the family, including our cat, and which we all like, is now gracing out lounge.
